Printmaking

The harsh spring summer fire season impacted my coastal area and naturally infiltrates ones work. Rather than a negative response I have been focussing on reflecting a sense of renewal from such a barren space.  Using the woodblock medium I am at once selectively yet randomly excavating form using notations of scarring and calligraphy of the bush to generate an independent image which plays between light, fragility and strength.
